Yes, I did a comic character of myself! I have a couple other cutesy cartoon depictions in my gallery (and one unflattering one - "Sour Girl"), but this is the first dynamic one I've done. In the past I had no desire to do cartoon characters of myself. Believe it or not, I was self-conscious over the mere act of drawing them, let alone showing them to anybody - even if my hypothetical audience didn't make the connection. I think that to do cartoons of oneself it takes a degree of self appreciation - or at least a desire to escape. Having done one of these though, I'd recommend everyone give it a try if they haven't yet! It's pretty damn fun.
I drew myself in my typical garb - my favorite skirt, combat boots, and trench coat. I emphasized my most obvious physical traits - long, lean, and with REALLY big damn feet

Very Cool, I love your boots, they rule. Also she looks really Aeon Flux... yeah wicked stance too!

Behind the corpse in the reservoir, behind the ghost on the links,
Behind the lady who dances and the man who madly drinks
Under the look of fatigue, the attack of migrane and the sigh
There is always another story, there is more than meets the eye.

Daily Literature Deviations is a group that is dedicated to bringing literature to the forefront of the deviantArt community. We attempt to accomplish this by daily featuring Literature artists from around the community that deserve the recognition, but are not getting it.
Each day we will feature 10 deviations from the Literature categories in a News Article. In order to support the artists that we feature, we ask that you the news article as well as check out the individual pieces. We understand that each day you may not be able to check out each and every one of the pieces, everyone has their own things going on. We just ask that you make an attempt to help support the growing Literature community.
